Product Overview

The ROM SAF delivers near-real time, offline, and Level 3 climate products, and software modules for numerical weather prediction models and climate research

Dissemination: NRT products are disseminated in near-real time via RMDCN/GTS (BUFR files) and EUMETCast (BUFR and NetCDF files). For details about getting products via RMDCN please refer to the BUFR Specification document. For details about getting products via EUMETCast please go to the EUMETCast web page.

Retrieval: For retrieval of archived products, please go to the Product Archive.
ROM SAF products can also be accessed through EUMETSAT, through the EUMETSAT Product Navigator and ordered at the EUMETSAT Data Centre (formerly known as UMARF). Note that products from EUMETSAT come in PFS format, which contains data in geographical areas, not individual occultation profiles.
